Sendai

After leaving Tokyo, I headed north and first stopped at Sendai, 300km north of the capital. I was sick so I had decided to chill out and start exploring the area from the next day. At some point, I even considered stopping the trip and going back to Okazaki...Anyway, I found a nice business hotel near the station but I just couldn't stand staying in my room doing nothing and after an hour, I just put on my clothes and went out. It was rather cold so I decided to go to Akiu onsen, to enjoy a hot bath and relax...
Upon arriving, I chose the cheapest onsen and I think it's the smallest place I've ever been to, barely the size of my appartment! Of course, they're not used to seeing foreigners there and they definitely checked that I would properly wash myself. I stayed about an hour and, before going back to the hotel, I stopped by Akiu waterfall, one of the three most famous waterfalls in Japan:

55-meter high but to be honest, I was a little disappointed. I expected something bigger, more powerful...Anyway, in such a low season, there was no other tourist, and that is something I really appreciate!
